I am frequently asked by other bloggers how to publish a blog to Kindle. I’ve written numerous emails and a few guest articles on it– but to keep things nice and simple, I’ll also post a visually-rich tutorial here. I hope it is useful to you.
Amazon.com offers a terrific service to blog writers: have your blog published through their Kindle service. This enables Kindle users to subscribe to your blog to view it with the Kindle e-Reader device. Amazon offers bloggers a small percentage of the subscription fee, as well. You won’t get rich from Kindle subscriptions, but you may get some nice spare change (enough to buy a book or two at Amazon) and it does add a little clout to your blog to be showcased on Kindle.
Signing up to Kindle is extremely easy. Go to the Amazon Kindle sign up page.

Once you have created your account, you can submit your blog information to be reviewed by the Kindle reviewers. The blog submission form is very cut and dry, but it helps to have a few things beforehand:
- Your blog’s RSS feed address. I use Feedburner, but you can enter in your basic feed address, which looks something simple like this: http://yourwebsite.com/feeds See my post What is a Feed and How Do I Find It for more on RSS feeds.
- A screenshot of your blog’s homepage.
- A screenshot of your blog’s “masthead” or banner.

After you have filled out the information and uploaded your screenshots, you can view a preview of what your blog will look like on Kindle.

Notice my blog's masthead at the top of the Kindle page.
Finally, when you are satisfied with everything, click the “Publish Blog to Kindle” button.
The website will direct you to your account page. Notice that the newly-submitted blog is pending approval. I have found that blogs are usually approved within 24 hours. Once approved, you can see your blog subscription page on Amazon.

You can advertise your Kindle subscription, too. I created a nice badge that gives my readers a chance to subscribe very easily. The button directs the reader to the Amazon Kindle subscription page. You can grab your subscription url page by logging in to your Kindle blog account and looking for the subscription link (next to your blog title). You can also see how many subscribers you have.
